Swansea's Michu hails Robin van Persie best in the world

Swansea City’s Michu has hailed Manchester United’s Robin van Persie as the best striker in the world.

On Saturday, Robin van Persie scored 2 fantastic goals to help Manchester United romp to a 4-1 victory over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Michu last season was one of the best finishers in the Barclays Premier League, scoring 18 league goals with Swansea City, but he believes Van Persie is in a different class altogether.

Speaking after the game on Saturday, Michu said:

“He had two chances and he scored two goals but that is why Manchester United are fighting for the championship.

“For me, to be honest, he is the best striker in the world.

“He had no clear chances in this game and it is just incredible how he ended up with two goals. It stops with him, he is the best.

“I don’t know how many goals he will score this season. A hundred, maybe a thousand! One thing is for sure, he is going to score a lot.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
