Academy: West Ham 2-1 Manchester United

The opening fixture of the Barclays Under-18 Premier League season featured an away fixture to West Ham United, a fixture that ended in a 2-1 defeat in Romford.

West Ham United took the lead in the 42nd might from young Lewis Page, mid way through the second half West Ham were 2-0 up after a good strike from Jerry Amoo.

Manchester United pulled a goal back towards full-time, this time from the penalty spot, James Wilson converting for the Reds but unfortunately the late comeback was not on the cards as the referee blew for full-time.

Next up the Manchester United Academy is an away fixture to Stoke City next Saturday.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
