Manchester United reject new £30million bid for Wayne Rooney

Manchester United have today turned down a fresh £30million bid from Chelsea for want away striker Wayne Rooney, according to Sky Sports.

David Moyes has been adamant from day one that Wayne Rooney is not for sale for any price, the club are not willing to sell to anyone. Especially to Chelsea, who this season are likely to be challenging Manchester United for the Premier League title.

Jose Mourinho has stated that his only transfer target this summer is Wayne Rooney, already bidding £20million for the striker which was turned down straight away.

Mourinho and Chelsea have improved the offer, making an official £30million bid, which as David Moyes is preparing to take his squad to Sweden for a friendly against AIK, was turned down this morning according to reports.

The Telegraph report that Wayne Rooney will hand in an official transfer request to Manchester United before the squad travel down to London for the Community Shield at the weekend.

Wayne Rooney played 45-minutes for Manchester United in a friendly against Real Betis which was played behind closed doors at Carrington, getting his name on the score sheet in a 3-0 win.

No doubt that Chelsea will not give up on signing Rooney this transfer window, with a rumoured third bid of up to £40million set to be made.
