Could an Italian centre-back be Moyes' first signing for Manchester United?

Manchester United’s new manager David Moyes is said to be looking at Inter Milan centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.

Ranocchia, who is now 25, has had a troubled season at Inter Milan due to injury, it is not just himself that has struggled as Milan ended up finishing ninth in the league, must to their fans disappointment.

According to TalkSport, David Moyes has Andrea Ranocchia high on his wanted list for his defence next term. An area that you would feel does not need to be added to at Manchester United with Rio Ferdinand signing a new deal and the future youth of Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.

Ranocchia signed for Inter Milan from Genoa back in 2011 for £15.9million, if he is to become available on the market then they will not let him go for cheap, many clubs are rumoured to be looking at the Italian including Juventus, Atletico Madird and rivals Manchester City.
