Macheda is unlikely to move to Italy

According to his agent, Manchester United’s Federico Macheda is unlikely to move to Italy in January as he searches for first-team football.

Macheda, who’s performances in the reserves have been average at best, looks set to leave club when the transfer window opens in January, with Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, and Javier Hernandez ahead of him in the pecking order at United, it is time to move on.

Originally reports suggested that Macheda would be venturing back to Italy, where he had a miserable loan-spell at Sampdoria last year, but his agent Giovanni Bia, hinted that he could be heading to a club in Spain or Germany.

Bia told Sportitalia:

“I can exclude a return to Italy, he could probably do better in La Liga where technique is worth more than physique.

“He’s a boy who has had his injury problems, but Sir Alex Ferguson continues to believe that he can turn into a good player. We just have to find the right situation for him at this moment in time.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
